This was the second investment property we bought. We decided to broaden our search from the Arizona market and look in another growing city. We bought this house as a long-term investment to keep as a rental property. Luckily, it had some really great characteristics and was in a highly sought after neighborhood. Because of that, we were able to do some light cosmetic renovations including redoing the floors and laundry room, switching out some light fixtures, replacing AC and water heater, and adding a patio to the back yard. After renovations were complete, we flew into Florida and spent 3 weeks furnishing the house from scratch. Piecing together this furniture was fun as we had to do everything on a budget and pick things we could get within the time we were there. All of this had to be done without losing the luxury design we were striving for.
